Hey! I'm @Max Bo! I'm 24, and I currently live in Sydney, Australia.

I’m originally from Brisbane, and I've just graduated from the University of Queensland with a BSc Computer Science (Extended Major). I absolutely adored my 4 years at uni, spending a lot of time with the UQ Computing Society as their secretary (we ran biweekly events, including student talks, industry panels, workshops and an annual hackathon) and the UQ United Nations Student Association.

I worked at Skedulo for about 2 years, working with purely functional Scala (Typelevel ecosystem), TypeScript (React ) and C# (Xamarin).

Next, I worked Atlassian in the Atlassian account team, working again with purely functional Scala (Akka, Scalaz) and TypeScript (React, Redux) for a little over a year.

I now work at Google in the Photos team. I mainly do work as an Android application developer.

I’m a big fan of FP , and its auxiliaries (PLT , Reactive UI , dependent types, Type Trickery , Compilers & Interpreters etc.).

I’m interested in UX . I love hackathons.

I’m a bit of a Music snob (check out my Rate Your Music profile).

I play the classical guitar.

I also collect mechanical keyboards, vinyl and mustard.
