Welcome to my Zettlekasten.

You might be wondering: "What the fuck is this thing? It's just a unorganised collection of notes, bookmarks, posts and pages."

In my own words:

Zettelkasten is a notetaking method where notes are made on small palm cards with unique IDs, with cards referencing others through these IDs, and sorted linearly in a box. These notes cross-reference each other to create a network of personal knowledge.

I've provided some links that provide far better descriptions than I have given.

Obviously Notion is not a box of palm cards, but I've tried to apply the principles of Zettelkasten onto this platform (there are alternative platforms that I take note of in Knowledge Base Tools)

If you'd like to start exploring what I've created, here a couple of starting points.

  1. A list of everything in the Zettelkasten
  2. A list of tag categories
  3. A board where I try and assess the amount of work I've done on a specific card, where I've designated this "Synthesis Level"

Post Overview

The northstar of this entire project is pretty much Gwern. Obviously, I do not have the time nor dedication to make something of its scale, but I guess I will try and point myself in that direction.
